Happy to be here

Just a quick post tonight, we are all exhausted from the overnight flight. We made it to the villa without any problems - Tom Tom led us right to Sarrians. We were a bit early so we decided to go to the local supermarket to get some supplies for our week here. As we were walking down the aisles, the lights dimmed and then came on again. Boris said we'd better hurry up because they were going to close. No - we found out that we had better hurry up because the power was flickering on and off because there was a huge storm outside! I've been checking the weather in Provence for the past month and every day it has been hot and sunny. Not today - the Baidacoffs brought a monsoon with them!
Can you see it coming down behind Jim?

 Here is a better shot.

Oh well, we made it back to the villa, met with the manager to find out how everything works (there is an Inside kitchen and an Outside kitchen! - I will take pictures tomorrow). Then Jim and Boris headed off to pick up Stephen (yay!) They arrived with more food (apparently we had not done a very good job in the supermarket) and Stephen  immediately got busy cooking us dinner.

Steve approves of the kitchen

Dinner was yummy! Pork chops and Ratatouille, with melon and a creamy Provencal cheese for dessert. (I have to start writing down the names of everything) We sure have missed Stephen (but not just because of his cooking)

We're all happy to see him!
